This gallery is a sampling of some of the photos I've taken over the last 3 months. It is a thankyou for all the love and support I get from so many wonderful people here and around the world.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM FALL 2009 As always happens in the fall, there was a lot of great THEATER to be enjoyed in Santa Barbara: _Boxtales' Om, an Indian Tale of Good and Evil, based on the classic Ramayana was a visual orgy, and great theater too. _Lit Moon World Theater Fests always bring thought provoking cutting-edge theater of the absurd and surreal to the stage, and this year was no exception, it was Czech & Mates._ How about Lily Tomlin for some much needed comic relief? Done! Genesis West can be counted on for a different kind of humor–the dark kind, and their production of The Lieutenant of Inishmore_was true to form._ Shakespeare's Globe brought us Love's Labour's Lost at the Granada, with a bawdy and hilarious take on one of the bard's best. __Stephanie Zimbalist really "became" Katherine Hepburn for Ensemble Theatre's Tea at Five.__ Santa Barbara Revels brought music and joy to the community with their annual Christmas Revels, and Santa Barbara Theatre flew around the stage of the Lobero with a great Leonard Bernstein's Peter Pan. _ ______ ___On the DANCE front: State Street Ballet went from the steamy (The Jungle Book) to the soulful & fun (Motown with Detroit's Eisenhower Dance). _The Susan Farrell Ballet showed how it's really done with a tack sharp and sublime performance of The Balanchine Couple, with fascinating commentary by Ms. Farrell. _DV8 Phjysical Theatre's harrowing To Be Straight With You was a tour-de-force and UCSB Dance Dept's fall show of choreography by students and faculty covered a wide range of emotions and visuals for a wonderful feast of dance theater.__________MUSIC: Thomas Hampson's recital of works from the American Songbook provided some of the most moving singing I've heard in a long time. __Yamato Taiko Drummers made the whole canyon shake with thunder at the Santa Barbara Bowl during a thrilling performance that had grade schoolers shouting with glee! __Sings Like Hell gave us Chris Smither's super-fine guitaring and smokey singing, Jonathan McEwan and Phil Salazar trading red-hot licks, and Phil Lee's humor was a perfect contrast to Maia Sharp's well, sharp, songwriting and singing. __At 89, Ravi Shankar is still able to hold a big audience in thrall as he works his very special magic, and he has fun too!__ YoYo Ma's masterclass @ the Lobero was a treat to shoot and the SB Symphony ended the year with a show of great Swing music - one of the most fun SB Symphony shows I've seen. Happy New Year!!
